Having a 100% Unique Product Isn’t Necessary

Creating a product that is 100% unique from any other products in the market is not necessary. In fact, even a product with as little as 20% of unique content inside it. For example, there was a research made recently about an eBook that was sold by a prominent author of a famous website. There weren’t any complaint on the eBook although it has as little s 20% of original content inside it.

So, how is this possible? Don’t people feel that they are being ripped off?

In fact, one reason that they don’t feel that they are being ripped off is simply because they’ve forgotten what they’ve read before. Putting it back inside the eBook reminds them again on what needs to be done or what is the important point that they keep on forgetting about.

The next reason may be because that the readers haven’t read the existing content on the website. This is possible for contents that are half a year old but is still being put inside the eBook. To a large number of readers, they will not be familiar with existing contents that are more than half a year old.

In addition to that, it may be because of the way the book is organized. For example, a blog post is written in no particular order but most often than not, a good book focuses on something that a beginner would be able to do and then intermediate steps. Lastly, there will be steps for the advanced users. This is one of the reason why it isn’t necessary to have a 100% unique product.
