SEO methods that should be avoided at all costs

Not every SEO method is good for the website. Methods that involves blackhat or spam should be avoided at all cost as not only will they have the potential to destroy the search engine ranking but potentially ban the website from the search engine from good as well. Here are some methods that should be avoided by all search engine optimizers.

Do not keyword spam. Previously, this is done by a lot of website. They place a large amount of keywords at the bottom of their website hoping that it would attract search engines. It may have worked before but now, it will never work. In fact, sites get penalized by doing this as well.

Do not websites with complicated navigation. Just because it isn’t hard for the webmaster doesn’t mean it isn’t hard for the visitors. Ask a few people to test drive the website and if everything goes well and they can access to all pages easily, then the webmaster has done a great job. If not, it is back to the drawing board.

Do not place too many links inside a single page. Not only will this cause link juice to be distributed to other websites but the website may also be flagged as a link farm. This is when there are too many outbound links from the website.
